Greg Hinzmann

Greg Hinzmann is an award-winning designer and strategist who has designed over 100 products during his twenty five year career for companies such as Nike, Hewlett Packard, Intel, Logitech, Rollerblade, Coleman and many others. He has worked on design strategies for Compaq, Intel and Xerox.

As a designer, Greg’s work has been recognized with over a dozen national and international awards, and is a three time recipient of the Industrial Designer’s Society of Americas top award, the Gold IDEA. Greg designed one of Hewlett Packard’s best-selling products, the Laserjet 1100, and his work for Coleman has been featured at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

 

Greg created and taught a Strategic Design course for the Oregon Executive MBA program and has also taught Marketing.  He has authored articles for Innovation, MarketingProfs.com and Commerce magazine. His work has been featured in BusinessWeek, ID magazine, and several books.  

Prior to forming Greg Hinzmann Design in 2001, Greg was Creative Director at Ziba in Portland, Oregon where he worked on strategic projects for clients including Hewlett Packard, Intel, Xerox, Whirlpool, Compaq and Rollerblade, among others. Greg was also Design Director at DesignEdge in Austin, Texas where he managed strategic projects for clients such as Dell, Gateway, and 3Com. 

 

Greg received his MBA from the University of Oregon and his BFA in Industrial Design from the College for Creative Studies in Detroit.
